This is an rotary start backplate for nitro engines that use a 12mm one way bearing, with a 4-bolt mounting pattern (27mm hole-to-hole separation). This allows you to use a drill to start your vehicle (requires a dog-bone style starter wand such as a Racers Egde RCE87104, not included)
This works with SH18, SH21, Vertex 16, Vertex 18, Vertex 21 and similar engines.
