INTRODUCING THE SUPER ORBITAL TRANSPORT
The Estes Super Orbital Transport Flying Model Rocket Kit (EST7314) is designed for expert builders. This remarkable model, provided unassembled, requires additional supplies including glue, paint, engines, igniters, recovery wadding, and a launch pad (not included).
A CLASSIC REIMAGINED
This updated version celebrates the original Estes Orbital Transport, a cherished kit that captivated a generation of rocketeers. Modeled after early NASA concepts that laid the groundwork for the Space Shuttle, it mirrors the foresight of commercial space travel. The powerful booster rocket, inspired by 1960s supersonic airliners, launches the passenger spacecraft into orbit.
TECHNICAL PROWESS IN DESIGN
The Super Orbital Transport offers improved features, including laser-cut wood structural components and custom jigs for precise assembly. Additionally, it comes with high-quality plastic nose cones and two sheets of meticulously detailed, three-color decals, recreating the stunning aesthetic of the original kit but at a larger scale.
EXHILARATING LAUNCH SPECIFICATIONS
Experience dual recovery with spectacular launches powered by the recommended Estes C or D engines. The model ascends in a traditional rocket formation, with the glider detaching at the apex of its flight and descending gracefully, while the booster returns safely via its 18-inch parachute.
BUILD AND LAUNCH REQUIREMENTS
For assembly, you will need scissors, a pencil, a ruler, yellow glue, plastic cement, a hobby knife, masking tape, and sandpaper. To launch, the following items are required and sold separately: the Porta Pad II Launch Pad and Controller, the 3/16 Maxi Launch Rod, Estes Model Rocket Engines, and recovery wadding.
SPECIFICATIONS AND FEATURES
This exceptional model reaches a projected maximum altitude of 800 feet (244 meters) and incorporates a recovery system featuring an 18-inch (45.7 cm) parachute in tandem with a glider. Key specifications include a length of 31.3 inches (79.5 cm), a diameter of 1.33 inches (34 mm), and an estimated weight of 5.4 ounces (153 g).
Experience the thrill of model rocketry with a kit that pays homage to an era of visionary designs and inspires future space exploration.
