Experience the exciting world of Furnace, an engine-building Eurogame that invites players to step into the shoes of 19th-century capitalists. Your objective is clear: build a profitable industrial corporation by acquiring companies, extracting resources, and creating optimal combinations to maximize profits.

ENGAGING GAMEPLAY OVER FOUR ROUNDS

Players begin with a random start-up card, the resources shown on it, and four colored discs valued from 1 to 4. The game unfolds over four rounds, each divided into two distinct phases: Auction and Production.

TACTICAL AUCTION PHASE

During the auction phase, 6-8 company cards are displayed with their basic sides facing up. Players strategically place their discs on these cards, but with the caveat that discs of the same value or color cannot overlap. Every player will place discs on four different cards.

DYNAMIC PRODUCTION PHASE

Following the auction, the cards are resolved left to right. The player with the highest-valued disc claims the card, while lower-valued disc holders receive compensation in the form of resources or processing abilities. Subsequently, the production phase allows players to utilize their acquired cards for various actions — from gaining resources to processing them or upgrading cards.

MULTI-LAYERED INTERACTIONS AND STRATEGIES

Furnace introduces unique capitalist cards offering distinct effects, which players can choose to incorporate at the game's start for added depth. Furthermore, to heighten the challenge, players can create a production chain, firmly establishing where newly acquired company cards will be placed for the remainder of the game.
